CRITICAL REVIEW

Alexandra Bălan’s sculpture proposes a figurative model in which the shape loses its rigor, drawing it rather towards an archaic model. At the border between a subtle eroticism and a profound fineness, the artist describes shapes of vibrant expression by the sensibility of the finishing work, using extremely suggestive details.
