Graduating in 1980 the Academy of Arts in Bucharest, after a period in which he creates and exhibits in Romania, the artist makes the decision to emigrate in 2000 and he settles down in Italy, where he still lives and works in Imola.
The artist technically approaches materials dedicated to expressing volume, such as metal, wood and clay, from all of which he fascinatingly explores the expressive possibilities that the processing of metal can offer. The artist’s works have an abstract character in which one can feel the pulse of reality, signs of human anatomy or references to architectural forms. The dynamism of rhythms from the Oriental motifs, the rising structures which are encountered in his sculptures can be placed among symbols of steadiness, such as the home or the dome. With the exploration and development of his own thematic universe, the artist suggests interesting expressive solutions through the ingenuity with which he constitutes metal surfaces modulated by grinding, oxidation, spinning the object or polishing it until it mirrors the surroundings.
