Among the resonant names of contemporary sculpture, the fine artist and professor Corneliu Tache is, equally, a veteran of the creation camps that already made history, but also a very active and inspired creator of small sculpture. A striking personality, with a universe of shapes predominantly figurative, inspired from mythology and sometimes from religion, with a solidly articulated vision, Corneliu Tache works in stone, wood and bronze. His human-animal characters, sometimes of a bookish source, descend from distant époques and they impress through their very modern approach, with emphasis on reinterpreted anatomy and valued with a lot of expressivity. Those have dynamism, suggestive force and vitality. The elaborate layouts and surface overlaps are a trait of the workshop fine art, but also of the monumental one, destined for the public forum.
