CRITICAL REVIEW

A young artist, very well adjusted to the realities of his own time, Mihai Balko forces the mundane, every-day life, to undergo a sometimes ruthless and biting visual inquiry. He moves with great ease between mediums such as sculpture and installation, imagining three dimensional structures, constructed in a minimalist fashion from unconventional materials. He relies on visual impact and on a clear message in order to convey his inner beliefs.
