BÂSCĂ-NELEANU, Maria (Mara)

CRITICAL REVIEW

In the 50s he makes children portraits and monumental busts of personalities. Afterwards, under the influence of Brâncuşi’s sculpture and of popular arts, her sculptures tend towards simplification and lapidary expression. She reunited a rich collection of glass icons in Făgăraș area, presently at the Museum of Art Collection (Bucharest).
