CRITICAL REVIEW


          Mihai Vereştiuc’s sculptural discourse becomes united with the irresistible call of the artist’s experimental nature. The field of volumetric expression represents for him a space of technical innovations, of a continuous conceptual brainstorming and of a thematic revaluation, through connecting with contemporary social realities. The classic themes and technologies find themselves under a frontal attack, through destabilisation techniques, as in The Big Great Sculpture, and the dialogue with Modernity is performed by taking and processing elements and approaches specific to the De Stijl, Postminimalism and Conceptualism styles.
