CRITICAL REVIEW

Thoroughly mastering the technical means of processing marble, stone and wood, Gheorghe Terescenco alternates between a modern, abstracting language, with shapes that are dynamically made rhythmic in space, and one of a realist nature, involving a tendency for classical execution. The harmony with surrounding space is a permanent preoccupation of the artist, both in the case of small fine art, and also in the one of monumental works that transmit through their alert way of conducting the volumes and through their concision, a note of intense vitality, a tension transformed in a metaphor of becoming.
